Rhinos are fast disappearing from the wild. Without urgent, international action they could be gone within a generation.
The two African rhino species – black rhino and white rhino – have both increased in numbers in recent years thanks to successful conservation efforts, especially in South Africa. Indeed, the white rhino has been brought back from the brink of extinction.
It’s the same stuff our hair and nails are made of – it has no magical or healing properties. Poaching steals from all of us and when the rhinos are gone, that’s it! There’s no turning back. Extinction cannot be our legacy.
Rhinos are territorial animals and need adequate space to roam and feed. A dominant bull can claim an area of up to 44 - 50km².
“The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated” ~ Mahatma Gandhi
Without intervention our rhinos can completely disappear within the next 10 – 15 years. Donate to help us fight against poaching and support conservation initiatives and rhino expansion program
